Vincent Du Bois is a creator who believes in a return to the material.
It is in questioning this approach that the artist has deliberately accumulated training and an extremely rich and diversified career, both in terms of the tangible and topical issue of questioning the sculptor’s artisanal dimension, and through his conceptual research into the status of the “artistic object”. This “corps à corps” with thought and its source – matter – brings him to bear in an extremely contemporary and relevant way on questions of being in the world, and the relationship between sculpture, nature, technology and spirituality.
